> **Pros**: ViaCad (currently I'm using version 10 2D/3D) has loads of potential. It quickly, and intuitively accomplishes all manner of 2D and 3D drafting tasks. I greatly enjoy the snap system, and the program contains a ton of snap features to make drafting work a breeze. ViaCad contains a magnetic snap system that makes 2D drafting unbelievably quick and easy.

> **Cons**: When you attempt to push ViaCads tech, when you build larger 3D models, and then pull them into a draw-view, or model to sheet, ViaCad fails miserably. I often find myself looking at ghost objects, objects for which I cannot recall a consciously draw item, or layer, that suddenly appear in my draw-views. Modeling commercial roofing construction details, I often find extra or ghost fastener models that suddenly appear when modeling to sheet. In addition, ViaCad contains a clunky dimension and labeling system that seems to bod down in modeling and make if virtually useless\! I use the product on a powerful, and fairy new MacBook Pro; but it strains my system to the limit at times. I have used ViaCad for quite sometime as a low cost alternative to AutoCad; but the failures of the latest version have sparked a mutiny in my CAD loyalty. I may switch to AutoCad.

> I enjoy my program for what it offers.  The detail can be really nice as far as features and all that is available to use.  But, some of what is supposed to be available will never truly work.  For instance, the ability to take a picture and upload that as a wall covering I can never get to work properly.

The 3-D view is very touchy and sketchy and difficult to get used to.

> **Pros**: As far as basic landscape programs go, we found this to be rather basic and easy to use.  Perfect for a small company or homeowner with limited design background.

> **Cons**: In my opinion I would steer away from this product if you are a semi professional landscape designer or above.  Very basic program for small, simple jobs.
