Reviews of Sage Intacct
Robust and efficient financial management
Comments: Sage Intacct has been an invaluable tool that has simplified and streamlined several complex tasks, improving my efficiency and allowing me to deliver accurate results in a timely manner. I highly recommend Sage Intacct to other professionals in my field.
Pros:
What I like most about this platform is its ability to simplify and automate complex accounting and financial tasks. The multi-currency integration and automatic consolidation capabilities have been critical to my work, as I manage accounts for a wide diversity of clients. In addition, the customization and real-time reporting have significantly improved my productivity and efficiency. The dashboard feature allows me to have a clear view of the company's performance.
Cons:
At times, the platform can be a bit slow and the user interface can be complicated for new users.
Our entire accounting process is managed using Sage Intacct
Comments: To help our customers, we use Sage Intacct. Besides partnering with Intacct, we also work with Var. As a result, we serve a wide range of businesses. I utilize it on a regular basis, help other employees, and provide customer training and support. My shoppers, families, and patients come from the retail, family office, and medical fields respectively.
Pros:
Sage Intacct is used for all of our daily activities, from accounts payable through accounts receivable, as well as month-end close and reporting. Our month-close has been delayed in the past due to technical difficulties and problems with AP synchronisation. Their support team's sluggish reaction time is also a problem.
Cons:
The product's usability would improve greatly if the Fixed Assets and Prepaids sections were modernized. The Charge Payoff screen, like the bank and credit card reconciliation screens, needs a "match transactions" capability.
Great Experience
Comments: Overall experience is very good, I would recommend this platform over quickbooks.
Pros:
The ease of plugging in invoices and finding the accounts needed.
Cons:
Nothing at the moment, all is flowing well.

Don't understand the hype
Comments:
We bought a canned package for our industry which was supposedly pre setup out of the box. It wasn't, many of the functions are still not working such as ASC 606 Deferred Revenue. The implementation was a disaster and we are still fixing bugs so it is not working anywhere near the way it should.
The represented integrations turned out not to exist.
Also functionality which to me should just be part of the package are not and it seems when you bring it to their attention all they want to do is upsell you a support package to fix what should be integral to the package already.
Very disappointed if I had to do it over probably would have kept looking and not made the switch.
There were so many misrepresentations as to functionality and integrations it wasn't worth it.
Pros:
Ability to extract Data for reporting purposes
Cons:
The functionality is quite frankly poor at best. The user interface in 1980's.

An Accountant's Dream Accounting System
Comments: Wonderful. I have converted to Intacct for 3 different companies for which I've worked.
Pros:
Ease of use, creating reports is easy, importing journal entries
Cons:
Cannot zero out beginning of year balances of Non-Financial accounts. Balances roll over. Should have the option of zeroing out or balance forward at year-end.

Sage Intacct Grows With Your Company
Comments: Sage Intacct helps us close our books within our required reporting deadline of workday 5. Using integrations allows us to eliminate manual work. In addition, it is scalable so it can grow with us. No solution is perfect and others were researched prior to our decision to implementing Sage Intacct and we believe we made the right choice in selecting Sage Intacct
Pros:
I like the way that other programs, ADP Payroll and Ramp Visa integrate into Sage Intacct. That saves a lot of time.
Cons:
I dislike how deposits are posted in the general ledger. For example: If there's a deposit that contains multiple payments and the total deposit amount is not reflected in the Cash GL but it is posted by individual invoice line items. If a deposit of $20,000 contains 20 checks ( or credit card payments) from vendors that are paying multiple invoices (for this example, 5 invoices for each payment) the deposit total of $20K doesn't appear as a single debit to the Cash, GL account but 100 lines appear on the Cash GL.

10+ year Sage Customer
Comments: We’ve been using Sage Intacct as our ERP for over 10 years and have greatly enjoyed the experience. As our business has grown significantly since the initial implementation, Sage Intacct has consistently remained our global financial system of choice throughout this journey.
Pros:
Robust multi-dimensional reporting capabilities. The reporting feature allows us to analyze financial data across various dimensions—such as departments, projects, and office locations.
Cons:
Occasional challenges with Sage Intacct's integration capabilities, particularly when syncing with other systems. For instance, we had issues during synchronization between Sage Intacct and Salesforce,

Efficient Payroll Management with Sage Software
Comments: Sage was a dependable software for payroll management. It delivered precise calculations and offered a comprehensive solution for handling employee payments, which was crucial for accurate payroll processing.
Pros:
What I liked most about Sage was its accuracy and reliability in handling payroll data. It efficiently managed pay calculations, tax deductions, and employee benefits, making the payroll process much smoother.
Cons:
What I liked least about Sage was its learning curve. It took some time to become familiar with all the features, and the interface could be more user-friendly for new users. My role meant I wasn’t a day to day user but more ad-hoc when required and for reporting. If you use this every day then you may not share my view on this.

Pros:
It is simple and straightforward in its use, making it very user-friendly.
Cons:
At this time, nothing has stood out about it that would be a negative.
A Cloud-Based Financial Management System for Growing Businesses
Comments: I am very impressed with Sage Intacct and I would recommend it to anyone who needs a robust and flexible financial management system. It has helped me streamline my work processes, improve my productivity and efficiency, and deliver high-quality results to my clients and stakeholders. It is definitely one of the best tools I have used for financial management.
Pros:
Sage Intacct is a web-based financial management system that offers advanced accounting capabilities and integrations for various industries and workflows. I like how it allows me to manage my financial and operational data from one place, with tools for planning, budgeting, reporting, automation, and compliance. I can also customize and configure the system to suit my specific needs and preferences, such as creating custom fields, forms, dashboards, and workflows. Sage Intacct integrates well with other Adobe products, such as Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign, as well as other third-party applications, such as Slack, Salesforce, and Google Drive.
Cons:
One thing that I think Sage Intacct can improve on is the pricing and limitation options. The plans are quote-based and depend on the number of users, entities, modules, and transactions. The pricing can be quite expensive and complex, especially for small businesses with limited budgets. The system also has some limitations on the number of custom fields, reports, and dashboards that can be created. I hope they can offer more affordable and flexible plans in the future.
Sage Intacct Can Change Your Life
Comments: Overall I love the Sage Intacct product. If I know of anyone looking for new software, I tell them that this is the product to get and have. I'm constantly looking at the additional modules that are being added on and built upon to see how we can utilize it for our businesses. Our organization is comprised of roughly 30 different entities, most of which have similar ownership, but they're in very different industries, and Sage helps us keep it all together on one platform and gives us everything we need in order to handle all that we do.
Pros:
They're constantly investing in making their product better based on what their users are telling them that they need or want to see. There seems to be no limit on what they will do to make sure that everyone that uses their product is satisfied.
Cons:
We had a period of time when things were just out of control in our finance offices, and reviewing the release notes wasn't even a blip on anyone's mind as a priority. Turns out that while we were losing our minds, features were rolled out that might have helped us that we missed because we didn't review the release notes, and they were features that needed added to a role to even see them or know they existed if you didn't review the release notes. More than likely an "us" problem more so than a Sage problem, but if we had known that was possible, it might have changed our "priority" thinking.
Alternatives Considered:
Great for Small Company.
Comments: Grea experience - importing data when we converted was easy. Recommendation for a Consultant for complex bridging was a good experience.
Pros:
Ability to upload data. Used a great deal for Journal Entries and Input from Sales Software.
Cons:
The approval of Payables link doesn't take Approvers to the proper Company level.
Endless reports
Comments: I have always been a fan of Sage and continue to be.
Pros:
Reporting, Dashboards and statistical data. You can make a report on almost anything - setting them up however can be complex. I love being able to monitor non financial data in the statistical entries.
Cons:
The Fixed Asset module is far too complex and does not manage the reducing balance method in Britain currently. This was tested various times with ourselves and the implementation team.

Orderly maintenance of transactions with Sage
Comments: The addition of Power BI integration and the ability to add custom fields to the vendor master and the 1099 information will greatly simplify our work, both in the present and in the future. We can generate a bespoke audit trail report covering all of our suppliers in one fell swoop.
Pros:
All required fields for each client's daily deliverables are easily accessible, and the system is flexible enough to accommodate the addition of new data as needed; it can also synchronize with a wide variety of other platforms, like BILL, Nexonia, and many more.
Cons:
Sage Intacct does not yet handle all payment methods, and its Inventory module is inadequate for businesses that also require assistance with inventory accounting and management.
Sage simplifies monthly transaction reporting for all users
Comments: Everything is managed centrally, and we can keep tabs on all of the accounting-related tasks at once. Our company reaped numerous advantages, chief among them the simplification of a great deal of administrative tasks. Here, we won't be able to make a polished dashboard aggregating data from multiple sources within Sage Intacct, but will instead have to do so in a separate program.
Pros:
Sage Intacct is used for all of our accounting needs, both internally and for our clients. We also utilize it for time entry-related activities, such as recording payroll and other employee compensation, and for other purposes.
Cons:
Ticket support has to be improved; now, users of Sage often receive little assistance when submitting support requests.
Intacct is powerful and flexible, with many useful features
Comments: There is now less clutter in our information thanks to this. During my last project, we migrated our paper files over here. Simple, straightforward dashboards have been developed using it. Now we can spend less time auditing and more time making better decisions. The ability to use wildcards in my bill search was fantastic, just as in Excel.
Pros:
Intacct is feature-rich and powerful, and it can handle a wide range of tasks. The contracts module also provides powerful management of billing cycles. Product characteristics and capabilities are the primary advantages of utilizing Sage Intacct.
Cons:
Unfortunately, it is often difficult to get answers from support when problems arise. Numerous bugs plagued the infrastructure.
It enhances our ability to follow all the details of the accounts of the project
Comments: Sage Intacct has helped us to enhance our ability to better control the financial affairs of projects, as all accounts (credit and debit) are constantly updated, and we also benefited from the organization of records, also the reports helped us to better understand the financial situation of the project, and this enhanced our ability to take the required corrective actions at the right time.
Pros:
It's great that Sage Intacct has many powerful tools that allow us to perfectly control all our accounts, especially the journal, as we can track project expenses and revenues on one dashboard with great flexibility. Since it is based on the cloud, we have more control over saving financial data and archiving invoices, in addition to payment orders, and the wonderful thing is that everything that is saved is recorded in records, with filters that make it easier for us to search for them when we need them. It is also great to have the ability to follow up and control the credit and debit accounts available in Sage Intacct, as the alerts arrive in sufficient time to remind the payment due dates (credit and debit), and at the same time we can get a comprehensive view of the amounts available in the accounts, so that we can early evaluate our ability to pay On time, which helps us to take action that includes us fulfilling our obligations in a timely manner.
Cons:
Sometimes the automation available in Sage Intacct does not work as required, especially making reconciliations between accounts, as ensuring the correctness of operations requires us to make additional efforts to check them and correct errors manually.
Long Term Care Intacct User
Comments: Implementation was a little rocky, but to be expected. Using it day to day is very functional and productive. It is a very broad accounting product that can be used in multiple businesses.
Pros:
The modules offered and their ease of use.
Cons:
The customer support. Like many software companies these days, they want you to try and solve your own issues using their help guides. The personal touch is missing from customer service.

Its an average accounting system
Comments: My overall experience with Intacct is overall positive. Intacct does save me significant time and effort in my everyday tasks compared with our older software. i do feel it could be improved upon further to make it a better product.
Pros:
I like the fact that it is browser based through the cloud which makes access quick and easy. The modules that I use the most work very well such as Accounts Payable and Time and Expense. The General Ledger reporting function is very helpful and easy to use as well.
Cons:
There are a few modules such as Prepaids, Fixed assets and Purchasing that we had purchased after the initial implementation of intacct that did not work very well initially. There were many work arounds and technical problems that created alot of unneeded headaches and work. Fortunately this has been fixed now for the most part and works well. Another issue I have is the support community that I put support tickets in when I need some help. They don't seem to know the product very well and often the solutions and advice I receive is partially right or wrong altogether. There have been instances where I have just figured it the problem myself through reading articles or experimenting with settings etc.

Accurately compiling financial data and keeping tabs on expenditures
Comments: Sage Intacct helps us streamline financial reporting and accurately track spending. Sage Intacct's great level of transparency has saved us money.
Pros:
Sage Intacct is great for both simple and complex accounting jobs. Accounts receivable, payment, inventory, and payroll management. I like how they are evolving and trying to make things easier for their users. Invoice automation and vendor payments thrill me. The tabs are clean and allow you to run various reports. I enjoy the data exporting options. Payments can be made directly from Sage Intacct using a variety of payment gateways. It automates my workflow by scheduling payments based on priorities and automatically computing sales taxes when tax is applied to my invoices. The best feature of this application is that it is cloud-based and used as software as a service. This tool may conduct reports between receivables and payables. It also has a cloud connection, which saves us from printing and saving unnecessary data.
Cons:
Sage Intacct may not operate automatically to pay dues that you have planned at a given date, requiring you to re-work in traditional ways, which I find difficult at times. The numerous regions of payment summaries can be confusing, especially when you have to add extra deposit information afterward.
Simplifying financial management
Comments: Sage Intacct has been a reliable and efficient financial solution for our company. Its ability to simplify and automate processes and coupled with its powerful analytics, has significantly improved our financial decision making.
Pros:
I like its ability to automate and streamline our accounting processes. Seamless integration with other business systems has enabled us to eliminate data duplication and reduce errors. In addition, advanced reporting and analytics give us a clear, real-time view of our financial performance, making it easier to make informed decisions.
Cons:
At times, I feel that the customization options are limited and I would like to have more flexibility to tailor the platform to our specific needs.
Great and attentive customer service. Very accommodating with our customization and concerns.
Pros:
I like the flexibility and ease of the software. It is overall simple to correct errors. I enjoy the import features for invoices and journal entries. Saves a lot of time and is user friendly, even for less experiences computer users.
Cons:
The restrictions of some features and functions. I feel like the functionality is more designed by computer programmers than by actual day to day users. For example, if you are trying to create a custom report, vendor ID is stored one way when entering invoices, and another way when entering journal entries. Customer service suggested to me that I enter the vendor ID in 2 different fields (I believe Vendor_ID and APBillItem_VendorID) for all invoice imports so that I can use 1 f. This is redundant and frustrating. Also for example, you can set invoices to "warn" you if duplicate invoice numbers when manually entering, but if you are using the import feature, it will just crash. You have to de-select the "warn" option, upload the file, and then turn the "warn" function back on. This is not practical. There should be some type of override function for intentional duplicate invoice #s.

For organizations and projects, this is a great way to keep track of multiple budgets and funds.
Comments: It has now become very easy to keep track of all the transactions and financial data of the company and its affiliated projects, as we were able to pay and receive invoices and record them in the records in a simple and secure manner.
Pros:
Budgeting and financial reporting are two of the best features of Sage Intacct. With this technology, the organization will be able to use it to the fullest degree in managing its financial concerns. In addition to the numerous internal controls, the platform's connection to the cloud makes it a strong database that organizes all financial and accounting records and reports, giving auditors confidence in the reports we publish. Sage Intacct's analytics, which provide account status and comparison reports between accounts receivable and payable, are also something I appreciate. It's also convenient because it's integrated with so many other programs, making it simple to import and export data.
Cons:
I find it somewhat slow, especially when dealing with a large number of invoices, and the search identifiers must be updated so that the searches are simpler than they are now and give the required results.
