> My experience with respond.io has been extremely disappointing. After stopping my plan and no longer using the platform, I later wanted to rejoin. However, I was told that I first had to pay for the months during which I had not been using the service. In my opinion, this is unreasonable, punitive, and extremely unfriendly towards customers.

I then moved to the $99 Basic plan, only to discover that it includes no AI functionality at all. At that price, the plan offers very poor value, especially for a small business or startup. A small team would probably be better off simply using WhatsApp Desktop, rather than paying such a high monthly fee for limited functionality.

Respond.io appears to be priced for larger organisations with substantial budgets, not for small businesses trying to grow. Their pricing structure is expensive, restrictive, and difficult to justify. Their billing practices are equally frustrating. A business should be charged for the period during which it actively uses or subscribes to a service—not be forced to pay for months when the platform was not being used simply to regain access.

Based on my experience, I cannot recommend respond.io to small businesses or startups. There are more affordable and customer-friendly WhatsApp management platforms available.
