> We are currently using Zoho Backstage for managing the 14th Indian Fisheries \& Aquaculture Forum (14th IFAF), a large academic and professional event involving abstract submissions, peer review, registration, payments, and overall event management.

Backstage has been particularly useful for managing the abstract submission and review workflow in a structured manner. The platform provides a good centralised system for handling submissions, assigning reviewers, communicating with participants, and managing registrations.

One aspect we have appreciated is the responsiveness of the Zoho team, particularly when we have raised requirements specific to our event. Our Regional Sales Manager, Hariharan Rajasekaran, has been proactive in understanding our requirements and working with us to find solutions. The additional support provided for our high-volume abstract submission requirement was particularly helpful.

For an event with a large number of participants and abstracts, there are some areas where additional flexibility and clearer upfront communication around usage limits would be beneficial. Nevertheless, the platform has provided us with a solid foundation for managing our event, and the support team has been helpful in addressing our requirements.

Beyond support, the product offers a lot of value for money, and I particularly love the per-event billing model, which fits perfectly with how we actually run conferences. The platform is easy to use, quick to set up, and straightforward to customize to our needs. On top of that, there's a genuinely good dialog around new feature requests

The API write capability is sometimes delayed in catching up with the platform — for example, there's currently no ability to upload a sponsor logo through the API. I'd also love the option to upload presentations before the event so attendees can view them in advance. Finally, the ability to offer master class bookings with confirmed seats and waitlist capability (ideally delivered through Zoho Bookings) would be a great addition for our use cases.
