Generates nutritional facts table in different formats
Easy to enter new raw materials into the system and there's the option to enter many properties of those materials (ex. allergen information)
Able to access sub-formulas from main formulation

If only have a few licenses for the software and many people use it, it can be hard to get on the system

> **Pros**: I love that you can have many users in the system and share the information across multiple plants.  It does a great job of presenting the labels so they are compliant with the laws and the updates keep us compliant.   I can even use the software to compensate for cook loss for a thermally processed product.  It's very precise and I feel 100% confident in the data.

> **Cons**: The system is not as easy to use as I would like.  You have to click around a lot and sometimes the formatting gets glitched up.  If you aren't careful you can modify an ingredient and change labels without realizing so you have to be cautious of what you are doing.  I think the change-tracking could be better as well - or if the system had a version history that would be helpful.

> I've used this software in every company I've worked for and it is critical for nutrition compliance and labeling accuracy.  It works for any size organization.

> Incredibly difficult for new users to learn. Genesis customer support is an incredibly useful and helpful with any problems you can encounter with software roll out.

> **Pros**: I like the layout and easy to use menus.  The Genesis interface hasn't changed much over the years and is relatively simple.  Once you figure your way around creating NFPs is easy.

> **Cons**: It can be a little cumbersome at times. Lots of little menus and features you have to turn on and off. That's the price you pay for versatility. With the complicated CFR rules it has to comply with its not surprising that the software has to be overly versatile.
