It's a versatile tool and works well. I like the fact that even if you are not connected to a scanner, the tool gives you the ability to test with a dummy scanner. > > **Cons**: We ran into some issues after a version upgrade and the test scanner disappeared. We reached out to Dynamsoft support and they helped to resolve the problem. If upgrades are more seamless, that'll be appreciated. > > In general I am happy with the product. I was able to implement the WebScan utility into my internal organization webpage without much issue. This is the only portion of the software that we utilize. It makes it very simple for regular, or non computer literate users, to scan required documents at our employee kiosks. > > **Cons**: My only real issue is the continual Increase in yearly licensing. When I first purchased the software, I was able to license a non production version because my webpage does not touch the outside world. But after a year that was taken away, forcing me to license the full production version. Increasing the cost by hundreds. Then after another year the price was increased again overall, forcing us to pay hundreds more for the same exact product we've been using for several years.
