We reached out to support a couple of times to get started but then after that - we were good to go. I also appreciate some of the new features MediaShout just added to make it easier for me to find new backgrounds. > > **Cons**: Only available on Windows — we had to make sure our presentation computer was a PC, but that wasn't a big deal for us. > > We made the move from ProPresenter to MediaShout a couple of years ago, and it's been a great fit for our church. Since most of our presentation team is made up of volunteers, we needed software that was easy to learn and use, and MediaShout has been exactly that. Features like SongSelect integration save us a lot of preparation time, and having dozens of Bible translations included makes adding scripture quick and simple. We also appreciated being able to purchase the software outright instead of paying an ongoing subscription. On top of that, their support team has always been helpful whenever we've needed assistance. ----- ### "Don't Recommend" — 1.0/5 > **Steve** | *14 January 2025* | Religious Institutions | Recommendation rating: 0.0/10 > > **Pros**: I could not find anything that I liked about media shout. > > **Cons**: Constant failure to work with windows and would constantly shut down during use of the program > > When we first started using media shout it seemed OK but as time went on it seemed to be issue after issue with poor customer service. ----- ### "Mediashout is such a great option" — 5.0/5 > **Michael** | *15 April 2025* | Religious Institutions | Recommendation rating: 10.0/10 > > **Pros**: Media shout did a great job of making the slides on our monitors efficient and without flaws. It was easy to implement and cut out computer screens showing during church. > > **Cons**: It was laggy when using multiple different programs at the same time. We only used one program at a time due to this. > > Great product that did exactly what was required of it. I used it consistently for about 4 years. ----- ### "MediaShout" — 5.0/5 > **Dee Dee** | *26 December 2018* | Religious Institutions | Recommendation rating: 10.0/10 > > **Pros**: MediaShout helps us create beautiful, inspirational presentations for our worship services. It is especially effective when we want to set a mood, such as during our Blue Christmas Service. MediaShout really enhances the worship experience for our congregation. > > **Cons**: The learning curve is fairly long. Training new volunteers is time consuming. But once they "get it" the software is easy to use. > > MediaShout's customer service is one of the best things about using this product. They are always responsive to our needs and very, very knowledgeable about their product. ----- ### "Made my first custom count-down timer" — 5.0/5 > **Erik** | *30 July 2019* | Religious Institutions | Recommendation rating: 7.0/10 > > **Pros**: I'm not usually the on-site tech guy for special events, but it happened to be me the other day. Among the inevitable last-minute requests was a count down timer to display on the main screens during intermission so everyone would know when it was time to continue the concert. But, they didn't want a generic video off youtube, they wanted something themed to match the event so it looked intentional. Now, I am not the regular Media Shout guy, in fact I don't think I had ever actually used it for a live event before. This responsibility falls on me so rarely that I usually just go with PowerPoint. I knew MediaShout had better tools for us, but never bothered to learn them, and I was more familiar with PowerPoint. But, a count down timer? I did a quick search on how to create a count down timer in our version of PowerPoint. After skimming a few steps in, I realized this was not the way to go. So, I opened up MediaShout to see what I could figure out. Oh, my, that was too easy. I dropped in a background to match the concert theme and added a count down timer, gave it a nice font and matching color. Ta-da. The event organizers were happy and it worked flawlessly. > > **Cons**: Seems like this thing loads pretty slow. It's running on a good computer, but still seems like it takes forever to open and load up the file. ----- Page: 1 / 14\ Next: [Next page](https://www.capterra.ae/software/140318/mediashout?page=2) ## Links - [View on Capterra](https://www.capterra.ae/software/140318/mediashout) ## This page is available in the following languages | Locale | URL | | de | | | de-AT | | | de-CH | | | en | | | en-AE | | | en-AU | | | en-CA | | | en-GB | | | en-IE | | | en-IL | | | en-IN | | | en-NZ | | | en-SG | | | en-ZA | | | es | | | es-AR | | | es-CL | | | es-CO | | | es-CR | | | es-DO | | | es-EC | | | es-MX | | | es-PA | | | es-PE | | | fr | | | fr-BE | | | fr-CA | | | fr-LU | | | it | | | nl | | | nl-BE | | | pt | | | pt-PT | | ----- ## Structured Data
