In our sector, where organizing advertising relationships necessitates frequent contact and teamwork, this has been very helpful. Additionally, Asana may be linked with a variety of platforms and programs, boosting its functionality and increasing its value to our company. Integration is essential since it enables seamless data sharing and improved tool efficiency.

Pros:

One of Asana's best features is its capacity to centralize all project-related data by enabling team collaboration, multiple project views, seamless integration with other platforms we use, like Slack and Google Drive, and easy team member access to the projects. This has significantly enhanced our efficiency overall and streamlined our communication. When several teams needed to coordinate their work throughout a complicated marketing campaign, Asana proved to be quite useful. Asana made it simple for us to monitor our progress and make sure that every work was finished on time, which eventually resulted in a successful campaign.

Cons:

The platform's steep learning curve is one drawback. Our staff required some time to get used to the software and use all of its functions. Additionally, it has to be improved so that the time monitoring tool and reporting options can be used on mobile devices with ease.

Reasons for Switching to Asana: we chose Asana for its robust feature set and ability to scale with our growing business.

Pay Per Seats is misleading, they make you pay for users you don't use

Comments: Good before we upgraded our plan and realized they were overcharging us.

Pros:

Easy to setup, easy to create and assign simple tasks

Cons:

Their payment options are misleading.They promote their pricing based on seats. $24.99/seat/year. But they force you to pay for seats that you don't use.If you have 7 users, you MUST pay for 10+ users. Which will cost us $1000+ per year for literally nothing.Misleading and a terrible customer experience. I would recommend looking at alternatives first, especially if you are a smaller organization looking to be cost efficient.

Why use any other platform to manage projects!!

Comments: We love being able to collaborate with our team, share ideas, support and feedback all in one platform :)!

Pros:

We love how easy it is to setup projects, collaborate and monitor success all in one platform! We also love that it integrates seamlessly with other task management platforms.

Cons:

We have yet to find a fault!! The layout is gorgeous, it's easy to use and we are able to monitor multiple projects all at once!

Alternatives Considered: Trello

Reasons for Choosing Asana: The features were easier to use in Asana, and it was able to integrate seamlessly with Sunsama which is what we use as a daily to do list.

Switched From: Trello

Reasons for Switching to Asana: For the price, features, integrations and ease of use it really was a no brainer to go with Asana !

Useful for tracking, doesn't replace other communication methods

Comments: I think this can be an effective project management tool, if project managers and team members are given enough time to input information and stay up-to-date. But the claims that it will make everything faster are not true. It also doesn't necessarily reduce communications. It may simplify some redundant communications if those redundancies are because of needing to communicate in multiple channels about non-urgent items, but urgent and critical information still needs to be communicated thoroughly so it is not overlooked. Overall, I like the project, but think it should be implemented with these understandings as well as a robust training plan.

Pros:

I love the interface as I'm not inclined to use something that looks unappealing. The templates are easy to customize including the workflows.

Cons:

The projects don't have the kind of visibility that they claim. It is more difficult than many realize to train people to use this who don't think like the system is setup. It is clear for people who think like this but the design isn't really intuitive otherwise. It doesn't replace other methods of communication for critical tasks and project communications, which can be disappointing to some people based on the marketing.
