> **Pros**: I like the fact that there is a build for Windows XP, this is crucial for support of our legacy systems. I also like that it’s open source, so we can modify things to suit our needs.&#10;The relay server being free allowed us to test everything out before setting up our own hosted solution.&#10;The dashboard is very useful for our team, and reasonably priced.&#10;The software is easy to use and deploy.&#10;Image quality is good and responsive.&#10;I like that MCP is supported, so we can use AI to sweep remote systems.

> **Cons**: There are quite a few bugs in the software - their support is quite responsive about fixing them when we trip over one though.&#10;There is no 2FA on the client. This is a problem if you save remote system passwords, as it gives you access to any remote machine with no authentication. Being unable to enforce security in remote access software is a problem that needs addressing.&#10;The dashboard is a point of weakness, as we have no control over it, and can’t host it ourself. The dashboard websocket connection is a bad idea, but we seem to be stuck with it.&#10;No automated file transfer control via MCP.

> Overall, very good. We were able to develop self branded solutions for our all our current and legacy Windows/Linux systems.&#10;Bugs when found were quickly fixed.&#10;The client/server and dashboard are full featured, and requests for new features are quickly acted on.

Having a single list of all my connected devices — including their health status — gives me a clear overview at any time instead of hunting for individual machines. Beyond that: excellent value for money compared to the established competitors, a very stable connection, and an interface that is simple enough that no training is needed. Setting up a new device takes minutes.

> I use HopToDesk to remotely maintain the computers I administer myself, and I travel a lot, so reliable remote access matters. Since upgrading to the Dashboard, the day-to-day experience has been very good: connections are stable, the device overview with health status saves me time, and the pricing is fair for what you get. It does what it promises without unnecessary complexity — which is exactly what I want from a remote access tool.
