> **Pros**: I deployed ActiveMQ as a messaging middleware for helping heterogeneous services/applications to communicate together. Indeed, this broker guarantees the transmission of the messages between the services via numerous protocols (i.e., MQTT, AMQP...).
> 
> **Cons**: There are several powerful and open source messaging brokers, ActiveMQ is useful but personally I prefer RabbitMQ as it is better documented.
