Kudos are a game changer for a healthier work culture

Comments: I've been a kudos reciever and giver during the last year and a half, and it's a nice way to feel appreciated by your team, to help them feel special because of the connection that Home office lacks. Putting those feelings into words and turning it into a kind of social stream that's commentable and with the ability to add reactions from slack is a very good add-on to everyday work life

Pros:

Giving Kudos help us encourage a culture of recognition in all our collaborators, we have a Feedback Friday instituted, to help everyone recognize a specific type of kudo to their peers

Cons:

It doesn't have a lot of options, kudos is a very simple functionality, maybe adding diversity on additional stuff apart from the kudos types, that only change color and an icon, it could help

There is a first time for Everything....

Comments: this was one of the first recognition software companies i used. ive no complaints, easy to set up easy to use. They offer top notch customer service, and treat you like real people should. Matter integrates well with all my other software and sites and apps i work with daily and can access from my phone, laptop, desktop or tablet making it a given. i did switch companies, after finding several offering same service for free, but Matter as i said was one of my first, and no complaints.

Pros:

easy to use in recognizing peers, rewarding hard work, and cheap enough to afford. offers multiple features not found on other software platforms, very welcoming landing page, and customer support staff is always there for any issue big or small

Cons:

you have to have a good bit of staff participate to see to be more effective. it does cost by the person when signing up for Matter, but isnt expensive unless you dont watch what your doing

Easy to use tool

Comments: Initially it was a great experience but over time I have become indifferent towards it.

Pros:

The tool is very easy to use on desktop.

Cons:

There is no real value to it. Over time it starts to lack of impact to provide feedback and alternatively to receive it if there is no benefit.

Highly Recommend for Remote companies

Comments: 10/10 I love the transparency it gives my company to see how i'm having an impact on it's success and gives me the platform to showcase other coworkers who are going above and beyond in their job.

Pros:

It helps remote workers build relationships with other departments and coworkers.

Cons:

No complaints, or improvements on my side needed, the only additional feature is to add which departments or tangible results have made an impact, but I think the showcasing nature and free form shoutout is the best way to acknowledge progress made.

A great Product all round

Comments: Overall i give this product a great review. Its great for giving feedback and seeing what other people around the business are doing.

Pros:

Ease of use. Its just so simple and easy to work all aspect of the product

Cons:

I would like a few more redemptions options for the UK region and be able to redeem £ Bank Cards

Great way to boost morale

Comments: Overall Matter is a nice way to help your team feel good about their work, and is pretty customizable to the company. I suggest making sure higher ups are in it to win it before investing in the program.

Pros:

Its great that you can give kudos both publicaly and privately. Sometimes it means more to get private kudos from a colleage that helped you through a difficult situation

Cons:

A program is only as great as the people using it. It was hard to get buy in from higher ups to use the system. And its not possible to edit the kudos if you forgot to include someone, this leads to some people not getting the right recognition for projects that they worked hard on.

Comments: great experience All the teachers at Alpine academy love matter. we appreciate the gift card. I use Amazon to get more school supplies

Pros:

you get to have a lot of gift card options

Cons:

nothing!! I like all the feed back from the teachers on matter and it makes you feel better everyday

Comments: I would say overall experience really good. Definitely enjoying it.

Pros:

Did you give kudos on a daily or a weekly basis which motivates and can look the spirits of somebody who's done a good job in the company.

Cons:

Not a lot of downsides the website and everything is pretty easy to use and friendly.

It really matter

Comments: Our team uses it daily, and specially at Fridays, and I can say that it brought our remote team together and more united than ever. Also it makes a very pleasant work environment, and we can use it to know ourselves a bit more.

Pros:

It made so much easier to show appreciation for our colleagues, in a practical and fun way.

Cons:

I would like to see more places to spend our money, or more customization on the cards.

A Culture Win!

Comments: Easy to use, like the reporting.
There is probably an easy way to do this but I wish the reporting converting into cash vs kudos coins (do the math for me).

Pros:

I love that people in our company that usually only get a shout out for amazing work are getting real rewards. Instead of waiting until end of year for bonuses, we are able to reward and recognize great work throughout the year.

Cons:

I'd love it if the monthly fee was a bit lower.

Fun in More Ways than One!

Comments: I’ve had an overall great experience with Matter. I’ve been able to use kudos coins to cover all different sorts of things, because the options to cash in vary so widely. I also appreciate knowing how appreciated I am by my coworkers.

Pros:

The option to give public appreciation to others.

Cons:

For the more sensitive folks, the feeling of being left out.

MATTER AND ORANGE

Pros:

Since the company works with everyone remote, Matter has been a really important tool for us to get everyone closer, recognize their value and their good work every day or week. It also makes us socialize more than if we didnt have it.

Cons:

I think there is anything that I dont like, I even love the gifs they use to invite us to join kudos or so.

Matter for Employee Engagement

Comments: Matter has been beneficial to recognize employees by employees across departments

Pros:

Matter is easy to use company-wide and gives employees the opportunity to acknowledge and show support to each other.

Cons:

Custom kudos could be improved to provide previews prior to posting.

Great to boost camaraderie!

Comments: I like it. Just need to know how to motivate everyone to continue to use it the most. I really like the motivation behind it (receiving money/gift cards) and then also the bond that develops but unfortunately, it's the same people that use it weekly.

Pros:

I love that it incentivizes our team to give "kudos" and show appreciation to others on the team for many reasons. It is a great way to develop camaraderie within our large team.

Cons:

I wish there was a way to get more people to participate. Maybe there could be a way to give kudos to the people that participate the most at the end of the Friday?

Low effort, big impact

Comments: Love it! So easy, and such a big impact!

Pros:

It provides a VERY easy platform for our employees to recognize each other, and also for those employees to see a summary of their "kudos" for performance reviews. It seamlessly integrates with our Slack instance, so it's right there, all the time.

Cons:

There is a small bug that makes it a little tricky to assign a feedback category and then start typing the feedback content. Sometimes it deletes.

Love using Matter

Matter Matters

Comments: Overall, it is a great product. Our company really appreciate how Matter will remind you how that is Friday and will count down the hours before it is over. Also, we love the gifs!

Pros:

I like that we are able to give kudos to coworkers.

Not being able to change certain things.

Always Improve

Comments: Awesome, at first, I was hesitant but then hearing positive feedback and cheering was awesome and it made me feel better.

Pros:

The rewards. It is nice to be able to get a little something back for the hard work.

Cons:

Not everyone gets recognize. Some individuals may feel left out and sad..

True Matter Review

Comments: It's been a great experience so far. I love being able to celebrate my colleagues and treat myself after doing a great job!

Pros:

The large range of gift cards available to choose from.

Cons:

I wish the giftcards can be shipped if you wanted to use them at the store, or give as a gift.

Matter of Fun

Comments: It's fun for Feedback Friday. I like celebrating birthdays and work anniversaries, too. Creating my kudos is also a nice feature.

Pros:

It's easy to use and create original kudos.

Cons:

Nothing to dislike about a morale booster app.

Great for Teambuilding

Comments: i love it! we started using the app as a way to connect our remote staff and highlight wins and achievements dorung the week!

the notices were sometimes a lot and could be overwhelming on a busy day

Love Matter!

Comments: 10/10. Couldn’t recommend enough! I love matter!

It’s organic, and tangible! I appreciate the literal kickbacks that encouragement from our team can bring.

Cons:

I wish I could add emojis to my kudos to the team, but there’s nothing not to love!

Matter Matters

Pros:

Matter makes it easy to recognise my peers and reward great work and spread positivity in the team.

Cons:

In Slack not the biggest fan of having to leave the modal in the Kudos channel we have (as a project manager quite often I have to give recognition to whole project teams and like to check I've referenced everybody who was involved)

Matter Review

Pros:

I have been using Matter for over a year. We encourage all employees to leave employee recognition posts every Friday. It is an enjoyable thing that we all look forward to.

Cons:

It has been very smooth. I like all of the options that it has to redeem the coins for, especially the Amazon gift card.

Good keep it up

Comments: 8/10 would be what I think of the matter app. Just improve the algorithm that chooses the mvp.
