Zoho Assist - Great to use

5.0 2 months ago New

Comments: We've had a really good experience with Zoho Assist so far. It was easy to deploy, it's very easy to use, and requires no effort on the end user.

Pros:

It's simplicity. We can use on demand support, which is super easy for an end user to use, or unattended access. We deployed this through Intune and now we can connect to all machines without needing the end user to be present. We also used the free trial to make sure we were happy with the product and the salesperson was always quick to respond to questions.

Cons:

That you need to be on an enterprise license to use the portal features.

Zoho Assist Review

3.0 last year

Comments: Overall, Zoho Assist got the job done. It was a great starter tool or back up tool for remote support.

Pros:

Zoho Assist is a great starter tool to get your IT department moving in the right direction. It allows you to remote in and work on any PC on your network.

Cons:

The functionality is limited compared to other tools. You have to install software on the PC you are working on in order to connect. I prefer a lightweight tool.

Great value as long as your clients have solid internet

4.0 3 months ago

Comments: Our team switched to Zoho Assist after several years with Team Viewer, looking at a more price competitive option. We connect to clients that sometimes have very slow internet, and this was the biggest shortcoming. The tools and connection were great with stable internet! While it does not require connection codes which can be great, it required clients to redownload the assist software every time and this could get confusing for less technologically inclined clients. Overall a good option if your client base has strong internet.

Pros:

Works well with decent internet, Integrates well with the Zoho Suite, easy to set up unattended access, somewhat easy for clients - no connection codes required.

Cons:

Requires a stronger internet connection than competitors, requires a download every time you wish to connect.

Zoho Assist - definitely worth the price

Comments: I have not had any issues with Zoho Assist and it has saved me considerable time in supporting multiple remote server sites.

Pros:

I like that I can have as required supporr session or have clie t installed to access servers at any time without user interaction.

Cons:

Getting the unattended installer to a client if I am not onsite, is bit of a pain as the user at the site can not get the installer directly.

Comments: I’ve used this for several years accessing my Quickbooks from my desktop at my Corp office

Pros:

Great flexibility to access my main computer from remote

Cons:

I didn’t really see any downside to this app other than sometimes my screen was smaller and needed closeups to see reports.

Streamline Work with Temporary Remote Session Applications

4.0 4 months ago

Comments: Excellent, clean user interface. Excellent for file transfer, software debugging and updates. The voice feature is a welcome addition

Pros:

Simple interface, No resident program required, a small temporary program is installed to initiate the remote session and gets removed once the session is concluded—no worries about the availability of a particular software at the user end.

Cons:

The chat window is rather small and needs the flexibility to adjust the window size for convenient chat with users. It should also have a facility to send the URL link to mobiles and emails. Sometimes emails get delayed due to network issues and you do not get it on time.

Impressed with the tool

5.0 6 months ago

Comments: One of the most impressive aspects of Zoho Assist is its quick implementation. It takes only a few minutes to get it up and running. The installation process is streamlined as we used Intune to push it out to all devices. This rapid deployment means that our business can start benefiting from remote support capabilities without any significant downtime or disruption from moving away from Teamviewer.

Pros:

Sessions are stable, with minimal lag, ensuring that support tasks can be carried out efficiently. We liked the ability to file transfer, screen sharing, and chat, which enhance the overall support experience. Especially when users are having issues with Teams etc where the normal modes of communication don't work.

Cons:

Occasionally we don't get a connection to the end user first time. This is usually due to the device needing a reboot.

How to not break the bank with remote assistance.

5.0 9 months ago

Comments: Zoho has been great, it functions as a tool that I don't have to worry about and don't feel I'm being gouged

Pros:

The cost to feature/function ratio is great. There are lot of features found in comparable more expensive solutions but available at a much more budget friendly package. The interface is intuitive and simple to navigate and understand vs other more costly solutions.

Cons:

Unattended agents sometimes go offline for short periods of time after intense troubleshooting sessions that require multiple reboots, connect, disconnects.

Zoho Review after 30days of use.

5.0 5 months ago

Pros:

Zoho remote assist is very fast to connet even the remote computer is running with slow bandwith. In addition, the file transfer feature of Zoho is reliable with no transfer failures between computers. The oline and downtime feature under the admin center is highly required by any IT support person.

Cons:

1_Some computers when using the volume agent deployment tool of Zoho assist fail to connect even after being added to the list of computers. 2_Another challenge, some computers ask for further admin approval from remote computer even the agent tool has been deployed. 3)The zoho assist app launches very slowly.

If you want an affordable, dependable Remote Assist platform - use Zoho Assist

4.0 last year

Comments: After reading my dislikes you might think that I dislike Zoho Assist. This is not the case. Overall, I must say that I have been pleased with Zoho Assist and plan on keeping it for many years to come.

Pros:

I was an early adopter. I have a grandfathered rate that is very favorable. Zoho has been light on the resources of the end user devices. It has been very dependably available. It has less functionality on Macintosh computers but I am pleased to be able to be able to remotely assist Mac users from the same platform with PC users. It is very helpful that it has an option to remotely view the screens of IOS and Android users too. I like that Zoho has continued to add more features such as remote audio and printing.

Cons:

I have 4 monitors and I dislike that I am unable to move the remote session screen to the monitor of my choosing. When I have multiple remote sessions operating simultaneously, I dislike that the machine name is not visible on each screen session - so I can locate it quickly. I dislike the way the "Choose Monitor" function has to be re-opened in a separate pop up each time. A dropdown showing pictures of all remote monitors simultaneously would be much easier. I believe their Customer Support hours are too short. I feel that Zoho Assist Support should be available 24/7/365 since the service is frequently in use by IT techs during off business hours.

Look at an alternative to the very expensive other remote assist application

5.0 11 months ago

Comments: We were looking at a sensible prices alternative to main named remote access/assist application. We need occasional access to our clients server and PC to assist in problem resolving. The issue we have is that we have several engineer who do oncall assistance. They might only need to get remote access to a customers system once or twice a year. But you can guarantee when they do its 2am in the morning and its urgent. We needed something that everyone could have on their laptops without the extreme expense of a additional license to cover that unusual event that might occur once a year. Previously they would call the sensor engineer or manager to get then to log in and do the fix.
Now everyone can have the ability, the connections time and the number of connection will not go up but customer service has increased.

Pros:

Very easy to get to work and deploy. Unattended access once applied is so simple to use Note section at end of session really useful Both Browser and desktop version easy to learn The ability to add technicians- Not every needs to use all the time by on call engineer need the ability. This is possible at no addition cost with Zoho. A real plus. Multi connections to allow two technician to look. Nice smooth interface not clunky. User admin easy to learn Ability to have different department with assigned dedicated technician

Cons:

Nothing at the moment. We have run a full test on the type of support we would normally be requested to do. Everything is as good as with the thrid party application we are using

Zoho Assist is easy to use and deploy. The multi-screen live preview makes it easier for the technician to see pop-ups on other screens. The additional tools available on point-and-click, such as Control Panel and Event Viewer, are a timer saver feature. The audit logs and timer make it easier to keep track of support activities.

Excellent tool for small IT consulting companies.

5.0 5 months ago

Comments: My experience has been great. Easy to buy, easy to use, cost effective and does exactly what is advertised. I think it's one of the most flexible out there and really has suited my needs for many years.

Pros:

Cost effective, completely cross platform, ability to have adhoc service events as well as planned. Very easy to have end users install through a link or email. The main reason for me to use Zoho Assist was the flexibility for unlimited adhoc sessions. I do consulting, and not so much of routine managed services. Other tools pushed me to buy seat licenses and more than I needed. Zoho fit perfectly.

Cons:

Sometimes people with aggressive ad-blockers or some content filtering tools don't like the Zoho domain, but it's easy enough to work around through a standard email link.

Easy to use and access remote access software

5.0 8 months ago

Comments: Great. Love Zoho and have been using for the past 10 years without issue.

Pros:

Zoho makes it extremely easy for both the end users and myself as an administrator to get connected to them when they need me the most, as well as making it easy to access other computers that I manage and monitor on my own.

Cons:

Nothing really. Sometimes users get a little confused downloading the client, but this is true with any remote software.
