About BrowserStack
BrowserStack is the leading test platform built for developers & QAs to expand test coverage, scale & optimize testing.
Wide Range of Devices available for every category like Android, IOS & Windows Platform. Has a number of integrations.
I don't like that it can get quite a bit costly very quickly. Also if you want to be able to test faster, it's going to get expensive fast.

Best Product Design and Testing Platform!
Comments: My overall experience with BrowserStack is great, I still remember when I first integrated with Browser stack, and saw the standalone remote test run 5 years back! It was so cool!
Pros:
Its a great tool for web and mobile based applications, where I need to test various devices. Comes in handy with all the configurations, well documented about the usage. For a beginner to expert, its a very good tool!
Cons:
Sometimes I noticed minor bugs, like the same build from CI runs twice. So they can be better tested before releases.
Robust cross-browser testing software
Comments: My experience with BrowserStack has been quite positive overall. It stands out for its robust cross-browser testing capabilities and the convenience of accessing real devices remotely. The platform’s interface is generally user-friendly, and it supports a wide range of browsers and operating systems, which is great for ensuring compatibility across different environments.
Pros:
BrowserStack is a really handy tool for testing websites and apps across different devices and browsers. What I like most about it is its ability to provide real-time testing on actual devices rather than emulators. This can give you a much more accurate picture of how your site or app will perform in the wild. Plus, the ease of access to a wide range of devices and configurations can really streamline the development process and help catch issues early. Have you used BrowserStack yourself, or are you considering it for a project
Cons:
One area where BrowserStack might have room for improvement is in the performance of its live testing feature. Sometimes, users report that the interaction can feel a bit laggy or slow, especially when dealing with high-traffic sites or complex application

Browser Stack - The all-in-one testing solution
Comments: It is good so far. Will be exploring Live, Automate, Test Management and other side of it.
Pros:
App Live and App Automate. Will be exploring Live and Automate for WEB.
Cons:
No such con to mention as such. I would like the team to work on APP Performance Testing which can share App metrics(Device metrics like memory, cpu, battery etc) along with ui rendering time and api response times.

BrowserStack, your guaranteed path to ROI
Comments: Using BrowserStack has been a game changer for the many teams that I've led in different organizations who chose to subscribe, it provides guaranteed ROI and great bang for the buck, in addition to all the amazing technical features that allowed all my teams to use it effectively and efficiently. And of course to me personally as an open-source contributor, being able to test my open source project against any device or OS I can think of has been a great help to identifying and fixing issues as fast as possible. Especially after integrating BrowserStack in my GitHub Actions pipelines.
Pros:
The variety of devices, ease of use, API integration, and the openness of the support team to share any needed information.
Cons:
Honestly, there's nothing I don't like about BrowserStack.

Mastercard Web/Mobile QA Testing - SharePoint Online
Comments: great to work with both in sales, customer success and support.
Pros:
ease of use, amount of region and devices, security
Cons:
would like to see advancements in the ADA identification space. I believe we tested your tool a few years ago yet imagine it has advanced. Will reach out to our customer success mgr to get a refresh.

Former Client
Comments: Service was good. Responsiveness was good, but our time to keep the system running was very high.
Pros:
It is a very mature system with a lot of powerful features.
Cons:
Due to the age of the architecture, there are performance issues. And the approach requiring multiple IP addresses which needed to be white listed, and constantly changed were a major nuisance.
Senior Software QA Engineer
Comments: Overall, it was a good experience except for the concerns (Offshore servers causing the problem since you don't know on which server you will be executing the test. and Lack of customer support )
Pros:
Reliable platform and using real devices
Cons:
Offshore servers causing the problem since you don't know on which server you will be executing the test. Lack of customer support
Affordable app with a wide range of tools.
Comments: Browserstack is easy to use, comfortable to start and has the functionality I need in my work.
Pros:
Browserstack is affordable for a single user – that's the main reason I chose it. As the only user in the team, I was looking for a tool that allows me to keep my documentation organised and offers an affordable plan.
Cons:
I'm a new user – haven't found any cons yet.
A great way to test your mobile app on lots of devices
Comments: BrowserStack gives us the ability to perform manual and automated testing on a huge variety of mobile devices, ensuring better test coverage and freeing us from the work of maintaining a device library.
Pros:
Having access to such a variety of devices and operating systems means that we get a ton of test coverage. I also appreciate that BrowserStack maintains all of the devices themselves, saving our company from the burden of device management. It's also worth mentioning that customer support is PHENOMENAL. I can send our BrowserStack team a question and get an answer in minutes.
Cons:
I'd like to be able to customize what I see when I first navigate to the app so that I don't have to click to the function I use most (App Live testing with an uploaded app).
Save your time with BrowserStack
Comments: I would recommend this platform to all the developers who write codes, build websites but don’t have many devices or browsers available for testing. It is a real timesaver and a wonderful solution for developers. I recommend you to go for BrowserStack and increase the productivity of your team.
Pros:
This platform is a real savior for developers: it saves a lot of time and resources. Maybe you don’t have all possible browsers installed on your PC or all possible devices at hand, but there is no need to worry. You can test your code on BrowserStack. The platform is very reliable, it is pleasant to know that it works without any glitches. In addition, the platform is being regularly updated, so you can test your code on the latest devices and browsers. If you have built a website and you are interested in how it looks like when accessed via various browsers or different devices, then BrowserStack may come to your assistance. First of all, it shows whether the site works and finds the errors if there are any. Secondly, the platform allows you to see the design of the site on different browsers. And finally, you may also want to know if the website is available on devices or how it looks. You don’t need to look for all possible devices, iOS or Android, you can just trust the job to BrowserStack.
Cons:
Sometimes it works a bit slow but I don’t think that the problem is connected with the platform, probably it depends on the internet speed. You can not test a few browsers at the same time. I would like to see this problem solved because browsers are many and it takes a long time to test the browsers one by one. BrowserStack suggests four plans but to my mind, all of them are expensive. I would like to see a cheaper platform.
The full web testing suite
Comments: We are testing our website projects against all browsers - operating systems and devices to fix errors, bugs and behavior. Without BrowserStack, testing on all those devices and browsers would be impossible to afford and maintain.
Pros:
We are using BrowserStack to test our web applications on every platform there is and fix all bugs, design glitches, gestures etc. Having all those different devices, operating systems and browsers available is impossible. Thanks to BrowserStack not only we can test our websites on different browsers-platforms but we can document and verify everything using screenshots. The GeoLocation testing is very cool because we can test our websites which are available only in our country and need to know for sure if the website restricts user functionality for the rest of the world.
Cons:
The plans that include Selenium which is of interest to us, are very pricey and it's difficult to afford if a company has low-budget websites on its list. For big companies that handle big projects with thousands of users these plans are affordable and a must-have especially for Single Page Applications and high-traffic websites.
BrowserStack: Essential for Cross-Browser Testing, But Room for Improvement
Comments:
BrowserStack offers extensive coverage of real devices and browsers, making it a critical tool for developers aiming to ensure compatibility across a wide range of environments.
The platform is user-friendly and integrates seamlessly with popular test automation frameworks like Selenium, Appium
BrowserStack supports both manual and automated testing. It also allows testing of locally hosted websites.
Overall, BrowserStack is highly regarded for its robust features and ease of use, making it an excellent choice for ensuring comprehensive cross-browser compatibility.
Pros:
The platform is user-friendly and integrates seamlessly with popular test automation frameworks like Selenium, Appium
Cons:
Some times the responsiveness of virtual devices can be slow, particularly when there are network bandwidth limitations.
Review from an administrator of BrowserStack
Comments: As Administrator my impression are good as like mentioned in pros section, the maintenance is not so high. One point that I think is a shame is the way the live testing seats are handled. Seats must be dedicated to users and they are underused.
Pros:
- Configuration easy to build. - Little maintenance and support from administrator side. - Users and Teams of each project can easily use the system and get support. - Stability and functionalities.
Cons:
- This system is good but not cheap. - Missing flexibility in managing Live testing seats. - Some of our Teams used specific framework which are not supported (Flutter for instance). - Need to rely on each Team to ensure follow up on what's executed on BrowserStack.
BrowserStack is a game changer with it's entire gamut of testing products
Comments: I've been using BrowserStack for more than 5 years now and it's been a game-changer for my team! The interface is incredibly intuitive, making it easy to get started and navigate. The features are robust and flexible, allowing me to customize and tailor it to my specific needs. I've seen a huge array of products that they have introduced which are innovative and solve most of our testing problems all with a single license! I highly recommend BrowserStack to anyone looking to solve a bunch of end-to-end testing problems on cross-browser & devices. It's a valuable addition to my toolkit and I look forward to exploring its full potential!
Pros:
The ease of use while integrating with our frameworks and how easily scalable it is.
Cons:
Support can be better in case of time-critical situations.
Good platform to scale web and mobile testing
Comments:
No platform specific bugs missed anymore.
We ended up on a few physical devices (while the rest of testing is on BrowserStack cloud) without loosing the quality of testing.
Pros:
Ease of switching from local testing to testing in the cloud. Ability to group test results and generate basic reports. Ability to include test execution video in JIRA bug reports. Ability to re-start manual session with the same parameters as previous one.
Cons:
Response time of their endpoints changes unpredictable over the day. That affects some testing, especially when we need to test some dynamic elements such as progress indicators in our mobile apps (that appear just for a few seconds so test cannot capture them opposite to local testing). Pretty complicated learning curve for newbees. When junior member joined my team, I needed to spend 3 hours explaining him basics about our test automation infrastructure built around BrowserStack.
compatibility test coverage made easier.
Comments: Overall, BrowserStack provides a reliable and comprehensive platform for cross-browser testing, making it easy to ensure compatibility across a wide range of devices. However, occasional slowness and missing of new devices needs to be improved.
Pros:
With BrowserStack, compatibility test coverage is made easier, allowing us to effortlessly test across multiple browsers, devices, and operating systems. Streamline the testing process and ensure seamless user experiences with real-time results.
Cons:
some times the latest devices are not available or there is a delay in adding. it would be nice to keep the prices affordable for Freelancers.
Browserstack makes tester life easy
Comments: Amazing experience with browserstack, their features, customer support, automation capabilities and CI/CD integration
Pros:
Browserstack make life of QA easier, compatibility testing was never easy but with browserstack we can get results in few minutes after deployment which results in faster deployment cycles. Another thing about browserstack is there customer support they schedule a call every two weeks with our team to know the challenges which we are facing.
Cons:
Nothing as per se, they could improve automation capabilities
One stop destination to make your life easier as a tester
Comments: I have used, BrowserStack live, automate, app live & app automate. this vast features at one place is truly amazing. and then comes Percy which is just a cherry on top for a tester and as well as developers.
Pros:
Mostly the features & the support BrowserStack provide is very impressive & seamless. Support for new devices & new OS versions makes my life as a tester easier.
Cons:
Nothing as such, but faced a big lag while executing automation scripts. else all looks good.
Browserstack gives wings to the testers
Comments:
I can only say about the browserstack pros rather than one con which is price related.
Pros:
1- multiple cloud hosted devices to target multiple devices for wide range of testing.
2- parallel testing with selenium grid.
3- Jenkin setup is on tip with few clicks.
4- Test management tools like qtest, jira supported.
Pros:
Browserstack help in parallel execution and targeting wide varierty of devices for quality testing of mobile and web applications. It supports almost all available frameworks where the jenkin jobs linking becomes easier.
Cons:
It's quite expensive but worth of using it. Documentations has to be more crisp.
BrowserStack and Automation intergration
Comments: Brilliant, we used the videos for training documentation, and find that it opens the door to having a solid compatibility matrix and the real devices are brilliant for ensuring that the solution does work in all manner of landscapes.
Pros:
For our Project working with BAT, we needed a software solution that could test multiple platforms, in parallel against 17+ different sites in many different languages. What I LOVED (and have used Browser Stack many times before) it enables our company to quickly tests against all manner of operating system and mobiles / tablets to give our client confidence in the software solution / environments we have provided.
Cons:
The Cost of using Browser Stack can get a little pricey, but for what you get in return, I believe it's well worth it.
Good Tool for Testing app on different devices and platform.
Comments: Main Problem for testing apps is Limited set of devices in inventory. BrowserStack removes this hurdle by providing developers, testers a platform where they can test apps on multiple devices. It was very difficult to have different sets of iOS devices as they are very expensive and also their simulators are working on only mac machines. But with BrowserStack one can test apps in real environments. It provides the same features like real devices with pre installed apps. You can also debug consoles to find any errors. Hence really handy and useful. So I would recommended BrowserStack if you want to don't spend extra money on different devices. You can choose BrowserStack and be relax as you don't need to worry about theft :-)
Pros:
Variety of devices. Testing in Real Environment. Easy to manage with team. Easy to start and stop Sessions. Easy to install Applications from different platform. Love that they have Test-flight options separately Error handling becomes easy using console. Cost Saving as user don't need to buy multiple devices.Especially iPhones and iPads
Cons:
There were few issues I came across. Sometime Setting app from iPhone didn't work. You need to close session and restart again. Subscription cost is little on higher side as compared to competitors But it's worth. Power consumptions is more. Some time its get slow. User has to restart session.
Alternatives Considered:
Best platform for Cross Browser & Device Automation Testing
Comments: We are getting the list of legacy and latest browsers / devices easily to verify the application compatibility.
Pros:
Easy to use and integrate with all Automation Framework
Cons:
It dosent have SMS Function or Mobile Carrier service option
BrowserStack..I couldnt do my job without it!
Comments: It has been nothing but positive. I have no complaints at all. I am able to test my mobile app on multiple devices and platforms
Pros:
The ease of use, The availability of multiple devices. They stay up top date on all the devices and haven many new features that come out.
Cons:
That some new features have a added cost.
