Good product for strategy and roadmap planning

Comments: Good product and one of the best SAS solutions in the product strategy space. Hoping the new service model they are adopting doesn't alienate existing customers but time will tell.

Pros:

Ease of use, thoughtful design, ability to manage backlog of ideas and promote to a roadmap and subsequently JIRA for execution

Cons:

The service model that Aha! is evolving towards is self-service unless you subscribe to their Enterprise+ licensing tier and meet a certain minimum number of seats. Disappointing to not get the same level of service commitment that the company provided in their early days but they claim a "lean" servicing model per my recent discussions with their Customer Success department.

Never going back to Jira

Comments: Fantastic overall. So impressed with the product, as well as the service. Would definitely recommend.

Pros:

Very powerful software, and almost no learning curve compared to Jira. So much more intuitive despite having a ton of advanced capabilities. I especially love how easy it is to share information with non-users, without having to manually update spreadsheets or slide decks.

Cons:

The Roadmaps pricing is a bit steep, but the Develop pricing is affordable enough that it makes up for it.

Not worth

It was simple to use, but this is only thing i can say.

Sorry, but I did not like this program at all. It was not my cup of tea.

Simple light tool for requirements management

Comments: A very light tool that works as intended for requirements management.

Pros:

A simple light tool for requirement elicitation and management.

Cons:

Any user can enter requirements, comment on requirements and track the progress.

Powerful and customizable solution for PMs with a steep learning curve

Pros:

Aha Ideas provides flexibility, security, and automation, allowing us to interact with customers at scale in a fashion that fits our business. Aha Roadmaps+ offers a very compelling product planning tool that integrates directly with our Jira instance. Aha regularly updates both products with new and compelling features. Aha also reaches out on a regular basis to check in, showcase new things, and troubleshoot any issues we're having.

Cons:

The seat-based licensing model prevents us from fully adopting Aha Roadmaps as our standard planning tool. Doing so would require our program managers, engineering managers, and designers to have paid seats. Also, as with other highly customizable tools, it's very confusing for the uninitiated. We've had to create extensive internal documentation for onboarding new product managers. Finally, we've been asking for a SOC2 report for years, Aha hasn't been willing to undertake this (ISO27001 is not equivalent).

Great Customer Service

Comments: Our customer support experience was great. The product is extremely sophisticated, and offers a wide range of functionalities for companies that are looking to have all teams in one space.

Pros:

Although we did not move forward with Aha as our solution, we had a wonderful experience with the Customer Support and Product Team. They were extremely supportive and helpful, and they were very gracious when meeting with us. We decided to go with another solution because of our unique and specific need; this was not caused by a bad experience or lack of functionality.

Cons:

There are some features in Aha - Ideas that we were looking for.

Aha is a great tool for product managers

Comments: Overall my experience with Aha has been excellent. The Aha team has made direct enhancements based on feedback I have provided. I enjoy using their product and working with them

Aha! is an excellent product management system

Comments: A very user-friendly and straightforward interface. It's fantastic that a single platform can be used to oversee everything from product to service management to strategic planning to operational reporting.

Pros:

A fantastic tool for project managers to use as a roadmap organizer. The ideas are fantastic, and the integration with Jira at the tactical level of engineering is functioning smoothly. Additional sophisticated features, such as various business modules, aid in the strategic direction of PM.

Cons:

It's odd that there aren't any external roadmap samples or case studies available from the makers of one of the greatest roadmap products in the world to aid with the design of your personal external roadmap.

Aha takes product roadmapping to the next level

Comments: Aside from having every feature a product manager could dream of, working with Aha through the purchase process has been a very positive experience. Their customer support is fast, friendly, and helpful. I know if I had additional questions or needed help , their team would be there.

Pros:

Using Aha for Education Assessment products

Comments: We are introducing the product management function accross the business. Therefore introducing the departments and senior management to the functions of Aha has been my priority.
The multiple benefits have included, multi person access as a reviewer / viewer. Transparency of the portfolio roadmap, clarity and confirmation of epic and feature details and the development priorities.
A prime benefit has been the capabilityof the tech team and CTO to cost up the features and epics in more detail than previously, supporting investment requests.

Pros:

For my role as Head of Product Management: The strategic view of the product portfolio is all important for the company to see and for me to report. The functions I use most are the strategic and portfolio roadmaps, goals and linked initiatives. I absolutely love the dashboard function, especially for executive resporting. And now use the different workspaces for the different departments who are dependant on the product management scheduling, this is also an added bonus.

Cons:

I really wish the functions would allow clarity for Strategic objectives, rather than goals and support the framing of dependant team and individual OKR's. I also find it difficult to delete releases and features on the Strategic level workspace. It would benefit the different types of users to have the functionalities that they need and navigate to it easily. From my role as head of to the associate product manager, we have different uses and feature requirements.

An Amazing Tool to Align Strategy and Execution for Product Management

Comments: Great experience from setup to use. Fanatical customer support and the fact that they follow their founders "Lovability" mantra (within 95% ;-) It has made me successful in helping companies tie product execution to company strategy. AHA tools usually create artifacts to help keep all stakeholders aligned.

Pros:

Any organization that wants to be thoughtful, deliberate, and wants to link everything they build to the reason WHY they are building it should use this tool. It takes energy and effort to adopt, but the results are amazing. Every feature and release can be linked to a strategic element. In fact, what you are getting with AHA is not only a tool, but a best-practices thought model for product management (this can be challenging to implement but the rewards are high if you get through it. A key benefit is that once created, roadmaps and reports stay FRESH, meaning all changes to dates of features and releases are instantly reflected in your roadmaps and reports. No more updating Excel rows where cells are months!! Last but not least, their support is second-to-none!

Cons:

While I really like AHA overall, the UI has many challenges. There are many inconsistencies (some places have a save, other autosave, some screens have a URL, others don't, some settings can be applied to everything at once, others have to be set manually one-by-one). Also for a single page app, it often struggles with refresh after edit more than it should in 2021.

My Two Cents

Comments: My experience is positive and I was able to convince management to invest in additional licenses after being acquired and merged with a couple other technology companies. All companies in our new division have standardized on Aha as the Product Management tool.

Pros:

Support is great! We are a global company with cross functional teams on multiple continents. Aha enables the team to collaborate, and communicate our plans to management efficiently.

Cons:

Enforcing utilization. The tool is only as good as the data that goes in. It's been a bit of a struggle getting everyone to use the tool as part of their daily work vs. updating everything the day before I want a debrief on the plan.

Great product for project/portfolio management

Pros:

Lots of options for customizing initiatives and reports

Cons:

Pivot tables need twice refresh to reflect the changes. Network disruptions often cause filled out data to be lost

Product Management made easier!

Comments: As a Product Manager I definitely have seen improvements in my release planning and processes. Users can really visualize sprints, releases and backlog items and easily navigate throughout the system. Being able to share beautifully colored roadmaps with executives is a definite plus!

Pros:

Cons:

Because there are so many features I feel like I am not taking advantage of everything. I find myself creating 'workarounds' for things I need to do when there may be a better way. However, the support is awesome!!

Comments: I'm just starting to get into using it in the last 2 weeks and using it to present my roadmap to business users, integrated with all of the sprint work that I plan using JIRA. The integration works great! I really love using these products together! I'm excited to get even more familiar with what JIRA can do!

Pros:

The JIRA integration is critical to my successful use of this tool as all of our sprint work is planned within JIRA!The Customer Support team is absolutely EXCEPTIONAL! They are all incredibly good at what they do and they get back to me just lightning fast whenever I have a question. Thank you so much!

Cons:

It's a little hard to navigate to some areas. I have a difficult time finding where integrations are configured and I sometimes can't locate the detailed error log when an integration fails.

Great customer support

Pros:

Tech support is excellent and fast.The integration with JIRA is very powerful, once set up.

Cons:

It's hard to find and create reports. The "Ideas" tab is confusing since it's similarly named to the "AHA Ideas" portal.

Innovative Product Management Software

Pros:

It is advisable to use the customization and reporting tools. The integration options are straightforward to install and configure, and the support team responds quickly and effectively. The idea portal is an excellent resource. The help manual is incredibly detailed.

Cons:

It is recommended that you use the customizing and reporting tools. The integration options are simple to install and setup, and the support crew is responsive and effective. The idea portal is a fantastic resource. The user handbook is really thorough.

Most valuable tool for me as PO in customer projects

Pros:

The roadmapping, release planning and feature boards.

Cons:

The price tag is deterring the organisation to adapt it fully.

Comments: Project management made easy .

Pros:

Aha provides lots of inbuilt utilities to control and deliver the entire projects , starts from the planning phase to delivery , it helps you to navigate smoothly . The leaderships will get greatly benefited out of this application.

Even though it has got lots of features to offer , still the configuration of the application is not easy and straight forward.

Aha moments around every corner

Comments: Ability to produce a roadmap for the first time in company history while integrating that with Aha Develop for targeted sprints which has increased delivery time and quality of each release. The ideas portal has also been crucial to our business and engagement with our users.

Pros:

It is user friendly while being extremely robust as you get deeper into the functionality. So far I've found that almost everything is possible in Aha and sometimes just takes a little thought on how you want to achieve it that will fit your organization.

Cons:

I can't say there is anything that I don't like about this software. We're in the middle tier package and anything I would mention here is included in the highest tier.
