Comments: Decent experience, but I'm starting to waiver if I will continue to use it.

Pros:

Easy to use, easy for employees to use. It's mobile and I can access it from anywhere, as can our employees

Cons:

Lack of sync with Revel POS which makes me hesitant to continue to use it.

Not the easiest app to navigate

Comments: For my specific job I like seeing all my coworker’s info and weekly shifts though it is difficult to navigate throughout the app and switching shifts.

Pros:

View of all your coworkers and work shifts.

Cons:

Terrible user design. Not easy to navigate open shifts.

Comments: I’ve used 7shifts for a number of years. I’ve had no complaints up until the basic need of looking at dollars written to spend and also reporting showing us the difference of what we scheduled versus what we spent in dollars. I don’t need man hours I don’t need certain budget tools that they use. It’s just missing the one number that I can use as an administrator to check how my managers with their schedules.

Pros:

The ease of use of using to write schedules and communication.

Cons:

I want to know total dollar spend for the written schedule per day. It is lacking that basic function because it has other tools that are supposed to help you. But the tools are very complex and difficult.

Great service for a medium sized company!

Pros:

This system is great for a medium sized business. We are growing and hiring more and more team members and the ease to add new members to the team is great. The ability to have several managers use the system is great too.

Cons:

The note section for staff for what is going on that day could have the ability to be more detailed maybe by the time of the day if you have several things going on that day.

7shifts for the win!

Pros:

Getting 7Shifts set up was super easy! The process to integrate with the other platforms that we use was also very simple. This is important because not all companies have an IT department that can blow through tech set up. 7Shifts can be used by anyone.

Cons:

The only complaint I have is the that you aren't able to use the tip management feature unless you use 7shifts' payroll processing as well.

Comments: An overall great switch over for both employers and employees, outside of minor inconveniences there isn’t much left to be desired

Pros:

Ease of use, was very easy to switch our team too and offers a wide variety of services that can streamline activities at the job efficiently

Cons:

Riddled with small bugs, have had staff complain that they get logged out randomly which can be annoying

Very Valuable Tool

Comments: Has been a great tool in the daily operation of our business.

Pros:

The ability to mange multiple schedules. Distribute it easily. Communicate with the team. View sales and sale comparisons. Save daily logs.

Cons:

Not fully integrated with POS so that we could pull individual employee sales or receipts or see PMIX reports.

Great customer service

First time using 7shifts

Comments: Still working to make it work. Will see how it goes. It’s our first round in implementing.

Pros:

Everyone is able to see their shifts in real time and all in one place

Cons:

Ease of using the platform is if there. Some things are not user friendly. Can’t print unless published etc

A good product with room for improvement

Pros:

The scheduling portion is pretty easy. I like that I can copy from one week to the other, and that I can get a "warning" if someone has asked for time off or is not available. The newer on-boarding package features are really helpful. I like that we can add time off policies. The announcement feature is nice and I like and that it has read receipts. There are quite a few features to 7shifts, and I don't even use all of them, but it's nice to know they are there. Overall, 7 Shifts helps me to keep organized and streamline my processes. It saves me a lot of time!

Cons:

I like to print off the time off calendar so my staff can see who has time off, but it is not currently printer friendly. I have to take a screen shot of the page, then crop it and print. I wish the calendar could be downloaded as a PDF. We often have glitchy issues with the 7shifts app. For instance, I never get notified of time off requests, even though I have push notifications and email turned on. My staff often tells me that they can't swap shifts because the app is glitching out. I also wish that if an employee is flagged "sick" for their shift, but their shift got covered, that the app would not send me, and the person who is sick, notifications that they haven't punched in for their shift. That is very annoying. I am not a fan of the new time clocking reports they are trying out. It is confusing and does not provide a clear picture of total hours nor can I print off a time sheet for someone to correct. It's not a good "update" at all. I think 7shifts has so many features, and they seem to be always adding new ones, that they might be having a hard time optimizing the ones they already have.

Shift into 7shifts

Comments: An uncomplicated, user friendly design that provides me with access to real time information as its input and relates to my job.

Pros:

A clean, well designed program that anyone can learn to use.

Cons:

As with any and all scheduling systems these days the updates can be slow to finish and problematic if not applied after business hours.

Great tool. Super easy.

Comments: It completely changed how we managed staffing and scheduling. We were doing everything manually so it was a huge improvement. The team loves it. It helps with overall communications and task assignments.

Pros:

7shifts allows us to easily schedule shifts and allows staff to trade among themselves without our involvement. The time clocking function is easy and intuitive. Love the ability to integrate with our POS so we can track productivity.

Cons:

Having different apps for scheduling and time clock is a bit of a hassle. I wish the dashboard were more customizable.

Employees love it!

7 Shifts is a great scheduling tool, easy to use!

Comments: I've really enjoyed using this app. Out of all the apps we use for running our restaurant it is the one I've never had an issue with. Easy to use and our staff really enjoy it as well. Also easy to navigate from desktop to app.

Pros:

7 shifts make scheduling super easy! As a small restaurant with a small team I enjoy the template function that they have for you to use when scheduling week to week. It allows you to use the same schedule from the week before (or any week) to use for that weeks schedule. We have set schedules so this works well for us and makes scheduling super easy! Additionally the announcements and direct messaging features of 7shifts allows us to get important information to our team quickly.

Cons:

Sometimes it feels like the interface is a little busy for my liking but other than that I haven't had any issues with the app.

Clock in and clock out simply

Comments: I love it. Its simple to use and highly recommended and very easy to use

Pros:

I like how it simple to use. Just type in your employee id and password and click the clock on, clock off button. You get paid for the work youve worked hard for

I forgot my password when i first started working an my login was locked. So i had to write my times. But i got paid the same if i were to clock in on the computer

Harassing sakes calls, inability to cancel

Comments: Stressful, annoying, something i don't have time to deal with

Pros:

Easy to set up and use, easy to distribute

Cons:

7 Shifts garassed me with sales calls and emails, calling me and locations, constantly trying to upsell . We changed schedulers because a new 1 came free with POS but they made it impossible to cancel subscription. Great product, unethical company, harassing sales tactics.
