Comments: It has been solid. I have used it 4 years.

Pros:

Cash app is extremely easy to use even without any prior training.

Cons:

Sometimes certain charges will will freeze up your account and it takes some time with customer service to fix it on occasion.

Cash App is easy to use and has some great security features.

Comments: My overall experience with Cash App has been a great experience.

Pros:

I really absolutely love the fact that you can lock your account at anytime and unlock just as easily

Cons:

That you can't use it with split payment apps such as 4pay and a fews others.

Cash app cannot be trusted with your money

Comments: I continued using it for the convenience but now I simply cannot trust them with my money and will be a Venmo user from now on.

Pros:

Money transfer feature is quick and easy.

Cons:

Beware - they're pro merchant, your money is not safe! I trusted cash app with my money & twice they allowed my money to be compromised. A fake Macy's website was allowed to keep $94 for items they never shipped, despite my repeated reports that I never received the items & the tracking numbers were fake. I was told the dispute decision was final, stop pursuing it. Now, my card was locked and a merchant still took money my family desperately needed, cash app said sorry, that's allowed. Bottom line, locking your card does NOT protect your money and even when merchants clearly commit fraud, cash app let's them keep your money. This is the response from their customer support manager: 'Thank you for bringing this case to my attention. Merchants can process a payment even if you don’t have enough funds in your balance or the card was locked. This typically happens when a merchant authorizes your card for a smaller amount than the final total. I know how inconvenient this is, I've also experienced a similar situation to this. I want to ensure you I am an advocate for you, and we're working our hardest to improve the overall customer experience.'

Frustration Over Unexplained Account Closure

Comments: Several years ago, my Square account was permanently closed due to an alleged violation of company policies. To this day, I still don’t know what I did wrong, and despite repeated efforts, I haven’t been able to get anyone to explain what happened or offer a way to resolve the issue.
sunce July, 2020, I have relied on Square Payments and scheduling to help run my successful business. I’ve always taken pride in maintaining high standards and following all rules to protect my livelihood and reputation. It’s baffling and disheartening to be treated as if I violated policies without ever being told what I did wrong. Even now, my business continues to thrive, but this unresolved situation with Square is a stain on an otherwise positive journey. It’s not just frustrating—it’s angering—to feel shut out and dismissed by a company I trusted and worked with for so long. I understand the need for companies like Square to enforce policies and uphold high standards, but I also believe users like me deserve transparency and a chance to address issues. Closing accounts permanently without explanation or opportunity for appeal is not only unfair but also leaves loyal customers feeling abandoned. I hope Square reevaluates how it handles situations like this, because no one who values their business and plays by the rules should be left in the dark like I have been.

Pros:

Running my business through Square, Block. Taking payment's and scheduling.

Cons:

The fact that they have never explained why my account was permanently closed. I have read the complany rules and regulations several times. I never came across anything that I have done to cause my account to be closed. I have been asking for clarification numerous times. I never receive any response back from them.

Comments: Overall, I use Cash App for small money transfers between acquaintances. I have found Cash App to be more secure and protected over other similar applications.

Pros:

My favorite aspect of Cash App is the ability to transfer money to friends from my bank account. I also like the option to create a savings account through Cash App.

Cons:

My least favorite aspect of Cash App is that reward points (stars) expire after a certain period of time.

Comments: I would rate cashapp an 8.5 out of 10. I have never had a problem with cashapp but it does take a a few more steps when orchestrating a transaction. There's been a few times I have forgot exactly how to check my balance & "transfer out" as I don't utilize this software every day. However this wouldn't even be considerate a problem because it's good to exercise your brain a little bit!

Pros:

I like that transferring money to your bank is instant & the fee is minimal. I like having the option to have both a physical card as well as virtual, by adding to my wallet on my phone. There's times I only have my phone to make purchases but there's other times using my phone is not an option, for example when it needs charged or I'm at Walmart, who doesn't accept Apple Pay or Wallet as of yet.

Cons:

I personally have had very few issues with cashapp, however the people I seem to to pay or receive payments from the most, generally prefer another payment over cashapp. It's unclear exactly why the majority of my family & friends seem to choose a different platform for sending & receiving payments but from my experience there is one software program that is to very simple & easier to navigate.

I love that you can connect any of your bank accounts and move money instantly, along with sending money to anyone with the app instantly as well. Also other things are if you want to withdrawl the funds in your cash app you can choose to wait the few days, or for a .25 cent or certain percentage which is super low, you can withdraw instantly, and then you can deposit cash for $1 charge and add funds that way to your cash app account. Then finally its a bank account itself so if you choose you can use it at such, and it offers early pay and along with cash advances if approved!!! So yeah awesome AWESOME convenient app top number 1 app!!!!!

Comments: Overall, I have had a good experience with Cash App and will continue to use it as needed.

Pros:

Something I like about Cash App is that it is easy to navigate and the QR code to look people up is very convenient.

I feel as though Cash App is not as secure as other money transferring apps such as venmo, or Paypal.

Comments: Overall it was ok. Always double check before sending money because they have nothing in place to help if you mess up.

Its easy to connect your bank or debit card. The app is very easy to use. Its also simple to connect with other people. The service is alao free to use so bonus points for that.

Cons:

Thw only issue i had was that i accidently sent money to the wrong individual. I contacted customer support and there was nothing they could do for me. Told me to ask the person i sent it to to send it back. I never got my momey back.

Expect No Notice

Pros:

The account was amazing until I randomly got on my account to find out they had closed it unexpectedly. No notice, no communications, no reasons. Customer service advocates can only hide behind their pre-generated responses to not only provide no details but also no help with the issue. Totally inconvenient and do not recommend after this issue.

Cons:

I had my account randomly closed without any notice or reason. All they can say is I breached the terms of service. I tried reaching out but all the advocates can do it hide behind their pre-generated responses and say they have no additional information. I have to wait 30 days for a response on the case which for many like me is a major inconvenience. For an an online banking platform that is customer related, they have no customer service that actually answer any questions that are directly related to the real issue. I tried calling and they gave me the same response. The representative then rudely hangs up on me. If they are going to take 30 days to do an investigation, they should have left the account open while they do their thing rather than just closing an account with no communication and having no information on the situation. Very annoyed and tempted to completely delete my account.

Mobile deposit sucks

Comments: A nightmare and annoys me with each feature And the fact your better off moving banks than trying to speak to humans. Then when you do talk to them 95percent are rude and unhelpful

Pros:

Well at first the boosts and deals made available. Now absolutely nothing

Comments: Cash app has made my life easier. I can move money to different accounts that otherwise wouldn't transfer.

I like that it's simple to send money to someone or move money to different accounts.

I don't like that if you get scammed or send money to the wrong person, you are just out of luck because nothing will be done about it.

I like how easy Instant Transfers on Cash App are, because they offer immediate, convenient access to money whenever it's needed. Being able to access needed funds is very crucial in emergency situations these days and cash app is spot on!

Cons:

Customer Support is terrible. I’ve had many challenges accessing a human Agent in a timely manner which is not excusable.

Comments: Love it! Great money app with low to no cost for use. Easy-to-use software

Love the ease of payments and receiving with ultra low cost to no cost to conduct transactions

It used to take quite a while for refunds to be processed and I've had to reach out in the past but they have seemed to update and do much better lately. Quicker and automatic.

Comments: On September 7, I transferred money to my Cash App to settle a bill. The app accepted the funds from my bank account, but when I attempted to send it to the recipient, the transaction was declined. I received an error message stating it was declined for my protection and that verification was required. After calling to verify my identity, I was informed that someone would contact me via email. For several days, I checked the status, but the responses were brief, and I was repeatedly told to wait for an email. Since I needed to pay the bill urgently, I asked my brother to send the money to my other Cash App account, but the same issue occurred again. I have reached out to Cash App multiple times to clarify why my account wasn’t flagged when I initially deposited the money. Shouldn’t it have been rejected then as well? Despite completing the verification process over the phone, my funds are still being held. I requested a refund back to the original account, but they informed me it’s illegal to withhold someone’s money without a lien or court order once they have verified their identity. Now, on September 18, I still have not received my money. I do not recommend using Cash App; it’s wiser to opt for a well-established bank, as your funds could be at risk of being stolen or held for no valid reason. My case number is

I absolutely love how easy it is to accomplish what im attempting to do when i open this application as well as the fact that it is used almost everywhere

Cashapp is my go to! I have referred many people to cashapp. It’s quick, easy, the benefits and % back on purchases make it so much more worth it. It’s diff than other banking apps.

I have no dislikes at all with Cashapp. I have used it for direct deposit as well.

Comments: My experience with Cash App was horrible, the only reason I say this is because I got scammed and hacked and my money was stolen from me and Cash App support wasn't any help at all half the time. Cash App needs a lot of fixing

Pros:

Sending and Receiving money to a family member or friend. But may need a little work

Cons:

I could add a certain bank on here and that a bank where I get my income. Also for the direct deposit that needs work on too because I receive my daughters Social Security Income checks and when I go to plaid and login its always an error that pops up and that's the only income I have right now.

Cash App is the Way To Go!

Comments: Using Cash App has been such a help in my every day life, from paying people, sending money to my kids, family, etc. I don't know how I ever lived without it honestly.

Pros:

Using Cash app is So easy. Almost everyone has it and it works almost 100% of the time exactly like it should. It's trustworthy and recognizable. It has been a life-saver for me, a person who rarely carries actual cash.

Cons:

The only thing I don't like is when it doesn't work correctly.
